The HSI Conservation Centers, Part 2
In this presentation, we will discuss some of the "bad boys" of the Zingiberales, those that can become a problem in wet tropical areas such as Hawaii and Puerto Rico. We will show the weedy species singly or in groups, with some notes about dispersal, severity of the problem, etc.

 

 

About Ray Baker
Ray Baker joins us from Lyon Arboretum in Hawaii.

Ray has worked at the Lyon Arboretum, University of Hawaii for 32 years, and is in charge of most of the grounds and plant collections. He has been associated with HSI since 1985, and served as co-editor from 1990 to 1993. Other major plant interests are palms and aroids.
