About Dr. Richard Criley
Dr. Richard Criley joins us from University of Hawaii in Hawaii.

Professor of Horticulture at the University of Hawaii Department of Tropical Plant & Soil Sciences. Research has focussed on manipulation of flowering of a variety of tropical ornamentals, including bird-of-paradise, Alpinia ginger, Hedychium ginger, Curcuma and Globba gingers, various Heliconia, tropical rhododendrons, dendrobium orchids, anthurium, Leucospermum protea, and others. A Fellow of the American Society for Horticultural Science. Chairman of the Section on Ornamental Plants for the International Society for Horticultural Science. Awarded the Alex Laurie Award by the Society of American Florists in 2002 for research contributions that aid the understanding of culture and flowering of tropical cut flowers.
