Only two native variable species have been recorded for the Caribbean islands. A range of variation is shown in relation to their distribution. Recent pollination studies are summorized and discussed in a biogeograpic context.

Anders, born in Sweden, has been living in Thailand for the last 13 years. Presently, he is Manager of the Botanical Collection at Nong Nooch Tropical Botanical Garden in Thailand. He is a board member and Secretary of HSI.
